About the Artist
Founded in 2010 by choreographer Chung-An Chang, Resident Island Dance Theatre (RIDT) is a premier contemporary company from southern Taiwan known for technically rigorous and socially conscious performances. The ensemble explores complex themes of mental health and modern life through an inclusive lens, frequently featuring mixed-ability performers to redefine the expressive potential of diverse bodies. By blending powerful choreography with deeply humanistic narratives, RIDT continues to challenge and expand the boundaries of contemporary dance across Asia and beyond.
