Yusof is stuck in an arranged marriage setup he cannot refuse. The night before his wedding in a Maguindanaon community, things take a turn when an unexpected visitor enters his tulugan (bridegroom quarter). What ensues is an intense exchange about their special friendship alongside issues of cultural taboos and its limitations, the complexities of love, and what the future holds for them.
About the Artist
Ismael Gallaza Pantao is an accomplished Filipino theatre practitioner, cultural educator, and the Program Director of the Bachelor of Performing Arts at Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges from General Santos City. An alumnus of the Intercultural Theatre Institute in Singapore, his extensive artistic practice focuses on community-based theatre and features performances spanning national and international festivals. He also serves on the Executive Council Committee of the NCCA’s National Committee on Dramatic Arts and has been recognized with prestigious awards for his contributions to culture and the arts.
