Random Chapters: The Human Tapestry
Date (Day) Time
Venue
Random Chapters is a poignant, non-linear contemporary production by Singapore’s Maya Dance Theatre and the Diverse Abilities Dance Collective (DADC). Artistic directed and choreographed by Kavitha Krishnan, the work blends live dance, original film, and evocative poetry by Jo Devadeson to amplify underrepresented voices and explore the friction and beauty of the human experience. Through the principle of “Deep Listening,” it bridges the gap between diverse bodies and minds, celebrating authentic artistry rather than merely “transcending limits.” Featuring music by Kailin Yong and Govin and Tan, this internationally recognized piece has been featured at the World Culture Festival Karachi and the Bisik Serayu Festival 2026.

Notably, the company is recognized as a Singapore International Foundation “Citizen Ambassador” and champions inclusivity through its Diverse Abilities Dance Collective (DADC), an art-making space for individuals with disabilities.
