Kalon Datal tells the living story of the Tau Cogon—the Blaan people of the Cogon Grasslands—and their sacred connection to the earth. Through music, movement, and traditional rituals, the performance captures the rhythms of tribal life, from clearing the fields during the Mabah planting ritual to the joy of youth during the season of courtship. It culminates in Maral dad Kalon, a grand thanksgiving celebration honoring the abundance of a good harvest. Ultimately, Kalon Datal is a vibrant tribute to resilience, culture, and community, showing how faith and unity transform the open plains into a thriving heritage.
