Explores the Talempong, a traditional musical instrument of the Minangkabau people of West Sumatra, through rhythm, melody, harmony, improvisation and sound development. The concept seeks to honor the values and cultural identity of the Minangkabau tradition while reimagining the instrument for contemporary artistic expression. Rooted in local traditions yet shaped for modern audiences, the work bridges authenticity and innovation, connecting tradition and modernity, locality and globality, the past and the future.
